Connor Coaching Photo   Connor Barthel - QB Instructor and 7 on 7 Coach

Connor Barthel is a former College Quarterback that played high school and College football right here in Indianapolis. Connor attended Cathedral High school where he started for one year. He was a team Captain and helped his team win the 2010 4A State Championship. Connor set single season records for yards and touchdowns that are among the top 20 for the state of Indiana. Connor also won the 4A mental Attitude Award for the 2010 football Season. He went on to play college football at the University of Indianapolis, where he started for 3 years. The 2 year captain helped his team win 4 consecutive conference championships and played in 4 NCAA Playoff Games. Connor also hold records at the University of Indianapolis for touchdowns, yards, wins and is the all-time leader in completion percentage. 

Even as a player Connor was coaching kids in the Indianapolis area both at camps and through individual training. Connor has been a coach at SOS Football camp for 6 years and has also coached at a number of Bishop Dullughan Football Camps. Connor now works for Lids Sports Group and enjoys many outdoor activities in his spare time, including coaching. Connor's Father, Tim Barthel, is a very successful high school football coach who has coached at Secina, Lawrence Central and Cathedral over the past 30 years. With a brother that plays basketball in college and a sister who competes in gymnastics meets across the country, you could say sports is a big part of Connor's family. Connor enjoys coaching young athletes because it gives him a chance to share his passion for the game of football. 

Tyler Picture     Tyler Thiems - Skill Position Coach - 7 on 7 Coach

Tyler Thiems graduated from Hanover College in 2009 where he was a 4-year letterman and captain of the football team. While collegiate playing football, Tyler was a 2-time All-Conference Quarterback/Receiver, 2008 HCAC Special Teams Player of the Year, set two school records, and was the NCAA Division III National Record Holder with 13.0 catches per game in 2009. Tyler was a three sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball) at North Central High School (class 2005).  Currently, Tyler is a mathematics teacher at Northview Middle School where he also coaches football, basketball and baseball.  As the head grade coach of 7th grade football, Coach Thiems is a combined 20-4 in the past 3 seasons. 

Kyle And Harry At FBU   Kyle Ochs  - Non Skill Position Coach 

As a player, Kyle Ochs went from walk on to a 3 year letterman and Captain at Butler University and Division II scholarship athlete. Starting 3 years as a defensive tackle and winning the Bulldog Tenacity Award, MIFC conference champions 3 out of my 4 years, Division II national playoff competitor and member of the #1 ranked scoring defense in the country allowing 7.4 points a game.

After playing for Butler, Kyle began his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Butler University and then went on to be a volunteer high school coach, 10 years as a youth coach including multiple Rec League Championships, Offensive coordinator for the IEFA State Champion Jr Panthers in 2013, Defensive Coordinator for the FBU Team Indiana 7th Grade that finished 3rd in the country out of 64 teams in 2013.  Head Coach for the IEFA 7th/8th Grade Jr Panthers and Head Coach of 7th Grade Eastwood Eagles.
